About Eduardo

Eduardo studied a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of the Americas – Puebla, in Mexico.

He worked as manufacturing engineer at a French multinational company in Mexico for a year.

He studied an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Warwick University.

After that, Eduardo returned to industry as a design engineer of automotive conveyors and finishing systems for a German company in Mexico. He worked in Mexico, USA and Germany in several international projects.

In 2000, he started a PhD research project at UMIST on modelling the corporate strategy process applying re-engineering process modelling.

In November 2004 he joined the University of Bradford School of Management as a Research Assistant in the Operations and Information Management Group.

Research Interests

His current research project is related to the application of Knowledge Management to support the creation of virtual Learning Networks for manufacturing SMEs. Through the participation of SMEs in such networks, these companies can increase their knowledge base and promote the creation of new knowledge that may help them to improve their competitive position. The project includes the application of a Knowledge Management tool to drive participation of companies within the virtual Learning Networks. This is a three year project that seeks to help local manufacturing companies.
